Kate Owens has a print-based practice. Working with movement in opposition to a fixed or sedentary state, her process exercises the body and embraces shifts and stumbles. A graduate of the Royal College of Art and Edinburgh College of Art, Kate won the South Square Trust and Paris Studio Award. In 2011 her work received the Recognition Award from AboT, MAK Vienna. She was a Cocheme Fellow at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design from 2012 to 2013. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in a number of public and private collections including Crafts Council Collection, MAK-Vienna and Soho House London.
